Janet Jackson speaks out for the first time since her brother’s shocking death in an exclusive interview with ABC News. Airing tonight (ABC 7 @ 10pm EDT). This is Janet’s first televised appearance since Michael died in June. Janet blames her late brother’s doctor, Dr. Murray for her brothers death; “I think he should be held accountable” she stated.
Rolling Stone reported Murray has been the focus of the investigation into Jackson’s death, which has been ruled a homicide caused by an acute Propofol intoxication. Police have yet to file charges against Murray, but the investigation is reportedly still ongoing. Murray is now forced to file for bankruptcy due to the fact that no clients will see him due to his involvement in this case.
Janet reminisces of her last moments with Michael, on her birthday in May and how much she enjoyed his company. She spoke about the day she woke up to a call that Michael was in the hospital and how she couldn’t get through to any family members. When she finally got the bad news about her brother’s passing she said, “It just didn’t ring true to me. It felt like a dream.”
