America’s Got Talent Final Four Revealed, Will Compete for $1 Million

By Brian Willett

The most inappropriately titled show on television, America’s Got Talent, revealed its final four contestants last night in an unnecessarily lengthy one-hour final four show that was mostly filler and overly dramatic.  The America’s Got Talent final four consists of Jackie Evancho, Michael Grimm, Fighting Gravity and Prince Poppycock.

The entire basis of America’s Got Talent seems to be to make a mockery of America, as the “talent” is outlandishly ridiculous, with the definition of that word stretched further and further each show.  In addition, none of the judges – Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel – are American.

In a special bit of irony, the America’s Got Talent final four show, which could have been five minutes long as the only relevant segments were those in which winners were revealed, also featured performances from the cast of the Broadway show American Idiot and Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan.  Apparently no one told the producers that Green Day’s American Idiot was a frustrated response to perceived flaws in American society.  Oh, and that Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan is, in fact, Canadian.

Perhaps to overcome that fact, Prince Poppycock appeared on the America’s Got Talent final four show wearing his costume from the last episode, a heinously overdone Uncle Sam get-up.  Throughout the show, many performance clips were shown that made viewers wonder how these contestants came to be considered the most talented people in America.

The final America’s Got Talent show airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on NBC, and it would be excellent if that was the last episode of America’s Got Talent ever aired.
