Charlie Sheen‘s public struggles continued early this morning, as he was hospitalized following a 2 a.m. furniture-throwing incident at The Plaza Hotel in New York. Although Charlie Sheen “appeared highly intoxicated,” he cooperated with police and was not charged with a crime.
The incident could have spelled disaster for Sheen, who has eight days remaining on his three-month probationary period due to a domestic violence arrest. According to Sheen’s publicist, there should have been no worry about an arrest this time around, as it was simply the result of an allergic reaction.
“Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital,” said Stan Rosenfield, Sheen’s publicist.
Thankfully for Charlie Sheen, this does not violate the terms of his probation agreement, which kicked off August 2. That document required “no use of alcohol in excess, or drugs, RX drugs only in prescribed doses; no violation of criminal laws or ordinances except traffic infractions.”
So what will Charlie Sheen do to celebrate, if he’s already tossing around furniture? Only time will tell – share your predictions in the comments. You can find Charlie Sheen in movies and on TV here.
