Thomas Wylde celebrates ten seasons of luxury fashion with the launch of a book and exhibition featuring ten stunning images of supermodel Rosie Huntington Whiteley shot by the one and only Rankin.
“Ten Times Rosie” features the bold creation of British designer Paula Thomas, founder and designer of the luxury label Thomas Wylde. Shot on location in and around Los Angeles in April, the imagery captures the creativity and theatrical flare of work by Rankin, Paula Thomas and stylist Maryam Malakpour. This fashion-related art book sees photographer Rankin shoot top British model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, celebrating 10 seasons of edgy clothing-label Thomas Wylde. After casting Rosie for the 2010 Spring/Summer campaign, Rankin and Thomas Wylde CEO Paula Thomas realised that they had found the perfect collaborative triumvirate. Only 22 years old, Rosie already boasts an impressive portfolio of work, she appeared on runways for Autumn/Winter 2010 and has shot high-profile campaigns for Burberry, DKNY and Ralph Lauren with some of the best photographers in the business. She epitomises the spirit of Thomas Wylde; supersexy and empowered. Her innate urbanity makes her the perfect muse for the brand, designs of which have found their way into the closet’s of the world’s urban cool.”Ten Times Rosie” is her first collaboration on a large scalewith one photographer and the first major publication devoted solely to her. This was a dream project for model Rosie. She says:
“Shooting ‘Ten Times Rosie’ was the most incredible experience of my career. Paula, Rankin and the team worked so hard, the set had an amazing community atmosphere. I think we have created some beautiful and iconic images. I’m so proud of this project and I believe it’s something that is very close and personal to all of us as it’s a combined effort of our creativity and imagination.”
Rosie has just begun filming on her first feature film. Transformers 3 will be on general release in July 2010 Fashion Editor and Consultant Maryam Malakpour styled the shoots. She has worked on several collections for Thomas Wylde. Maryam is a well sought after stylist who has contributed to magazines such as L’Officiel, L’Uomo Vogue, Vanity Fair, and British Vogue.

Here is some more information about the author: Photographer and publisher, Rankin, established his reputation in 1991, when he and his business partner, Jefferson Hack, launched the now cult fashion magazine, Dazed & Confused. He has since photographed subjects ranging from U2 to Gordon Brown, shot covers for publications worldwide and has gone on to shoot ad campaigns for some of the best known brands in the world. In 2009, Rankin Photography outgrew its original home moved into a brand new bespoke design in North London-named ‘Annroy’. Rankin’s ‘grand design’ includes a purpose-built studio, gallery, offices, and living space.
