Carrie Underwood proved she’s still on top of the country music world at Monday’s American Country Awards, capturing the coveted Artist of the Year title among five other awards on the night. Unlike other American Idol alumni, Underwood has maintained strength and popularity, with well-crafted music and engaging live performances.
“We have had the most amazing year out on the road. For anyone who came out to see us, you guys are awesome,” said Underwood as she accepted her award. “God bless, thanks so much guys.”
