In a nod to the way Facebook has changed the online world, Mark Zuckerberg has been named Time Person of the Year. Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, is the second youngest Time Person of the Year; only Charles Lindbergh was younger.
Although Zuckerberg created Facebook six years ago, the site exploded in popularity this year, thanks in part to The Social Network, a movie that, some claim inaccurately, chronicles the development of Facebook. Zuckerberg narrowly edged out WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange for the Time Person of the Year title.
