Sure, there are already enough awards shows on television, but The Comedy Awards, presented by Comedy Central, manage to do something that other awards shows don’t – provide entertainment. Sure, you may find some enjoyment in watching millionaires in the entertainment industry pat each other on the back for takind advantage of their privileged lives, but at the end of the day, it’s the same show, year after year. The Comedy Awards, on the other hand, offer plenty of humor and recognize talent that rarely makes it to the big-time podium.
In addition, The Comedy Awards show – which airs Sunday, April 10 at 9 p.m. on Comedy Central – allows the winners to be themselves, and you’ll get to hear smack-talking and entertaining acceptance speeches that would usually be met with censors and shocked faces at those other awards shows. For example, check out what Tina Fey had to say after winning best comedy actress.
