Anna Faris could star alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator
Anna Faris could be set for a role in ‘The Dictator’ alongside Sacha Baron Cohen.
The ‘Scary Movie’ actress is reportedly in competition with Kristen Wiig and Gillian Jacobs for the female lead role in the movie, which will see ‘Borat’ and ‘Bruno’ director Larry Charles reuniting with Sacha for the production of the motion picture.
Anna would be ideal for the part if her ‘Scary Movie’ performances are anything to go by, and she’s recently revealed comedy is for her.
She said: “I used to be like, ‘You know what? I’m going to show this town! I can act! I can cry!’
“Then I thought I kind of don’t want to explore those darker parts of my personality. I would do comedy for the rest of my life.”
Sacha is set to play a dictator who risks his life to help make sure democracy does not come to his country.
But no matter who is starring in the movie – which has a 2012 planned release date – as long as Sacha plays the lead then it’s bound to be funny. Right?
