Foo Fighters, Eminem and Coldplay will headline the Lollapalooza festival this summer.
Cee Lo Green, Muse and Deftones will also play at the alternative music event – which takes place in Chicago from August 5 to 7 this year – and what a sublime line-up there is to celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary.
Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, who organised the attraction, said it’s “astounding” how the festival – which features a welcome mix of heavy metal, dance, punk and hip-hop acts – has evolved over the years.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “I wish I was 20, but unfortunately it’s my festival that’s 20. I just feel so fortunate that I was able to make something so wonderful for the musicians and the audience.
“It’s just astounding where it has evolved to. In 1991, we had seven groups and we were performing on dirt fields.”
More than 100 acts will perform over the three days, including Arctic Monkeys and Deadmau5 – and what better way is there to celebrate the summer sun?
