Jada Pinkett Smith has said receiving death threats was a “learning experience”.
Somewhat surprisingly, Jada formed a heavy metal band called Wicked Wisdom – which is currently on a break – but things turned nasty for the group when they signed up to Ozzy Osbourne’s musical festival one year.
She told the Metro newspaper: “When I played metal music, I was mocked. I got death threats when I was added to the Ozzfest lineup but I stuck with it.
“Me doing metal was one of my biggest learning experiences. A lot of my success is down to not being afraid.”
I doubt I’m the only one who finds it hard to imagine ‘Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders’ actress Jada – who has two kids, 12-year-old Jaden and Willow, 10, with actor Will Smith – screaming at the top of her voice alongside heavy guitar playing.
She added: “Will dealt with it. I just thought it was people on their computers with nothing better to do than spew stupid c**p.”
