Going on 200 plus emails every day to my personal inbox could get hard to deal with, especially in times when I refuse to hire assistance as I want to be hands-on everything, from every angle, from every aspect. That’s why sometimes invites for great events are being missed and I only capture them the night after, one in particular was Kenan Thompsons‘ (Saturday Night Live) surprise party. I opened my email and was like “Heck yeah let’s go party!”, as I focus on the details and realize that it was literally last night.
This one, could not be missed. Because it read “CEO of Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry has the pleasure of inviting you to an exclusive evening to preview the new Timepiece & Jewelry Collections.”, with a full-blown GRAMMY background, showcasing their new collaboration with the company. Yes, we’re not going to miss that and good thing we didn’t because the food, drinks were great, the collection was amazing – something to really look forward to. Especially that it’s in New York City’s finest restaurant, Cipriani.
I had the pleasure and honor of discussing the new collection with Michele Sofisti, Brand Director of The Gucci Group Watches Organization who explained in greater detail why it’s so “mouth watering”.
Hear me out, this would be our second year attending the GRAMMYs. Last year, we attended in style with Victor Wong, of OpenLabs who took Ellie on a journey and after parties with the Black Eyed Peas. This year, it would be the same, however we will be rocking the official GRAMMYs Gucci Watch.
The new Gucci Watch collection is marvelous, for those who are Gucci fans, you might actually drool over a few pieces.
Each watch is distinguished by a unique leather-clad case, in a choice of black, dark brown, camel or white calfskin. The leather straps complement the dials with either matching or contrasting shades of black and dark brown or white. Both the bracelet and the clasp feature Gucci’s iconic horsebit.
The male styles are crafted with a Dubois-Depraz automatic movement and feature a rounded-square sun-brushed steel case and a unique dial. The sleek, sport-inspired face shows the hour and minutes with a small second hand at 9 o’clock and circular date counter at 3 o’clock. The dial also bears the logo of Guccio Gucci’s signature at the top and the year ‘1921.’ Available in brown or black, leather straps are embossed with the diamante pattern designed around dial in either cream or black.
