Shot by Derek Kettela for ROGUE’s summer issue, Naty Chabanenko is alluring and chic in this sleek cover image and editorial series titled Shape Up. We are given up close and personal beauty from the Ukrainian beauty, with strong and clear art direction by Antoine Neufmars.
Showcasing the fresh and form-fitting selections by super-stylist Tammy Eckenswiller, Naty is sultry and dramatic. This dramatic look is enhanced by the expert work of make-up artist Kristen Gallegos, who uses smokey eyes and bold lips to add drama and theatrics to this editorial. The sleek hair, by Romina Manenti works well with the make-up and styling, as it is simpler, I feel it gives a more pared-down and natural edge to these portraits.
Naty Chabanenko works pieces by the likes of Chanel, Proenza Schouler, Roberto Cavalli and Altuzarra in these simplistic portraits. Her body looks absolutely incredible in each photograph, with the fashion choices by Tammy Eckenswiller enhancing her natural style, in particular, the gold studded jacket and nude body-con dress stand out as must-have pieces.
Naty appears powerful yet somehow vulnerable in these shots, with the vulnerability shining through particularly in the black and white photographs, where the drama created through the colour make up is not so clear. Production by Casey Smith for Christ Boal Artists.
