Ukrainian beauty Valeriya Melnik warms up the pages of the July issue of Vogue Hellas, in this hot and sultry editorial story shot by the incredible Greek photographer, Thanassis Krikis (Smile Creative).
Valeriya takes control of her nude male model props in this shoot, completely owning each shot, displaying a sense of strong female sensuality and confidence. She wears bright, eye-catching swimwear and statement gold jewelry, styled by fashion editor Michael Pandos, which reflect the editorial title, Hot Summer.
Her bronzed complexion and sultry hair waves are thanks to the work of make-up artist Manos Vinichakis and hair stylist Dimiris Gianetos. The styling and creative behind her look really makes the shoot come to life, with Valeriya’s tip top body showing off the swimwear designs spectacularly.
I feel that in the color photographs, the shots are heavily focused on the clothes and styling, as the swimwear color pops and grabs your attention, whereas in the black and white images, I feel that you get a much better sense of sensuality and story, and although they both work really well, I prefer the black and white shots, as I feel they tell the narrative behind the editorial is much clearer.
