Zoe Kravitz Hot Enough to Breathe Fire.
These simple and chic black and white portraits of X-Men actress Zoe Kravitz were shot by Simon Burstall for the latest issue of Wonderland. The shoot was titled Glamor Girl, and is part of Zoe’s promotion at the release of her new film, X-Men: First Class.
Wearing designs by Emilio Pucci, Versace and Valentino, chosen by Anthony Unwin, Zoe looks glamorous, grungy and edgy in this 90’s inspired editorial shoot. Not just actress, but also a singer and model, all-round superstar Zoe really gets her unique tough personality through in this editorial shoot. Although she usually appears very downtown-cool and rock chic, there is a sense of femininity and romance to these candid shots. Zoe is the offspring of actress Lisa Bonet and super-cool rock-star Lenny Kravitz, and it is clear their rock and roll lifestyle has had a big impact on her style. Her make-up and hair is kept simple in these personal portraits.
In X-Men, Zoe Kravitz plays a stripper mutant, Angel Savadore, who can fly and breathe fire. And she is totally on fire in this editorial. My favorite image by far the shot where she is dressed in an embellished backless top and is smoking. I really like the composition and sensuality of this photograph, and I love the sneaky little peek at the tattoo on her left shoulder.
