Claudia Schiffer stars in the look-book for the fall collection of her cashmere line. Photographed by Camilla Akrans, this Hitchock-style look-book is full of autumn knitwear and prints, photographed in a lush, woodsy setting. Claudia’s new knitwear collection is designed with German cashmere specialist Iris von Arnim. The designs created are a wonderful mix of chunky knits, t-shirt dresses and wrap around cardigans.
I think that Claudia looks completely amazing in this shoot. Definitely one of the best I have seen of her recently. Her hair looks incredible, and in the dark setting, it works well as it is so light. Love the combination of black and white and colour images, though I think the monochromatic ones have more visual impact. These images are much more atmospheric. Through the colour images, the design and style of the pieces is much clearer, so it is perfect to have a mix of the two.
My favourite photograph is the one I feel is the most atmospheric and sets the tone for the whole series. This is the close-up of Claudia, where the light is shining through the window and reflecting off her messy hair-do. I love this image, and whilst the cashmere design featured is not that clear, it is a great shot for summing up the ethos and identity of the collection. Art Direction by SUM.
