It’s been a while since Coco Rocha has been featured here. But here she is, with a fantastic editorial spread in the August issue of ELLE UK, titled The Shock of the New. I have so much love for Coco Rocha, and this shoot has reminded me just why. Here, Coco showcases some of the best pieces from the fall collections, with Matthias Vriens-McGrath behind the lens. Styled by Anne-Marie Curtis in designs from big labels such as Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce and Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Giorgio Armani and Bottega Veneta, Coco’s bright and energetic personality shines through in these expressive portraits. This editorial is full of energy, motion and expression.
This is a 20-page spread, and long editorials in ELLE UK are nothing but a regular occurrence for Coco (in October 2010 she shot ELLE UK’s longest ever editorial, 25 pages for the publications 25th anniversary, titled The World Girl, shot by David Vasiljevic). It seems that Coco delivers a top-notch performance when ever she is featured in an editorial. I love her quirky posing style and her ability to look like she is having the best time ever, she seems really committed and it really does look like she always gives 100%.
This editorial is really special, Coco looks fantastic and really delivers her signature style and likable demeanor. Literally every image here is stunning, and it’s not really easy to pick a favorite. I love the Celine image, as the shape of the jacket blowing backwards really makes the composition look fantastic, and I just love the expression on Coco’s face. This is one of my favorites, but it is definitely not the only one. Others include the Louis Vuitton image, as well as Gucci and Giorgio Armani.
