Ukrainian star Daria Webowy stars in the sexy and sophisticated fall 2011 campaign for Salvatore Ferragamo. I am always a big fan of these campaigns, and I think the decision to include Daria in several of the most recent has been a fantastic choice. In these photographs she is joined by male model, Mathias Lauridsen, who is representing the menswear collection for the label. Both of them sport Salvatore Ferragmo’s sharp and elegant tailoring, which looks wonderful with the black and white photography, shot by Mikael Jansson.
This campaign is classic and graceful. I especially love the landscape images, and I think they have a very cinematic feel. I would say that I definitely prefer the black and white photography here, as I think it gives it a more timeless and classy feel (though the color photography is still really hot, houndstooth photograph especially!).
It is very easy for me to choose my favorite image here. It has to be the lakeside photograph. The light here is seriously amazing, and I think the black and white photography enhances this. The composition here is stunning, I really like the unbalanced nature of the image, and the way you eye is drawn down to the water. It is a very romantic image, and as well as all of this, the designs featured are gorgeous. The styling and the overall look of both models is beautiful.
