Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson started his career in the spotlight as a no nonsense rapper with a love for women and money. In the years since he has proven himself to be a true entrepreneur – he has signed deals with Reebok for G-Unit sneakers, landed roles playing himself in video games, and has recently even dipped his feet into the publishing industry. Now, Jackson continues to expand his resume as an actor in the movie The Frozen Ground, which begins shooting in October.
The “In da Club” rapper will be playing a 1980s-era pimp alongside John Cusack, Nicholas Cage and High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens. The film follows a serial killer, played by Cusack, who kidnaps and hunts young women in the Alaskan wilderness, and revolves around the one girl who managed to escape. Jackson will also have an important role off-screen, as he is serving as an executive producer for the film.
