The live window revue at Berdorf Goodman’s Fashion Night Out celebrations were enjoyed by thousands in a crowd at least five deep rushing the corner of Fifty-eighth Street and Fifth Avenue. The throngs of fashionistas were there to help celebrate the 30-year anniversary of designer and Project Runway judge Michael Kors, who has been selling his line at the high-end retailer for three decades. To mark the occasion, Bergdorf’s Creative Director Linda Fargo handed him a key to the store, jokily chiding him about his constant perfectionism. Before long, a rash of performers took the “stage”, which was a tiny street-level store window.
Master of ceremonies Alec Mapa, star of Ugly Betty, kept the crowds laughing in between acts, which included Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and 1960s pop idol Ronnie Spector, Broadway actress Orfeh, Lypsinka, Wynter Gordon, the amazing dance troupe the Harlem James Gang, magician Rob Zabrecky, the World Famous Pontani Sisters, showgirl and burlesque starlet Leila Bazani, and puppeteer Erik Sanko featuring Michelle Harper. All enjoyed a fun night.
