Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 – Beauty Report
Peter Dundas takes the idea of a bohemian Bridgette Bardot adorned in flowing patchwork pieces to the Pucci runway this season, a Mediterranean seductress free to travel the world with her fantasy. The look was sexy, but easy and laid back.
Lisa Butler, artist for this show explains, “It’s all about the eye, but we don’t want it to be too neat or too smoky. It’s very loose, very relaxed, and quite wild.” Black pencil and eye shadow were mixed and highly blended underneath the bottom and lower corner of the eye. MAC Metal-X Cream Shadow in Venetian Tarnish, launching for spring 2012, was pressed all over the lid. Brows were varied between each girl, penciled in and combed loosely. Skin glowed and was paired with a light glossy lip, intensifying the playful image of a gypsy dream. Hairstylist Luigi Murenu approached the look with a severe side part and pulled back long tousled hair, completing this hippy vibe. John Frieda Luxurious Volume All Out Hold Hair Spray held it all in place.
