For the October issue of Vogue, Michelle Williams tackles one of the most iconic roles within fashion editorials, Marilyn Monroe. Here, Michelle is promoting her upcoming film, My Week with Marilyn, in which she plays the legendary Hollywood star. Obviously, Michelle is well practiced in playing Marilyn Monroe by now, and she actually looks very beautiful in this fashion editorial and cover, which is shot by photography superstar Annie Leibovitz. Styled by Tonne Goodman, Michelle sports an eclectic wardrobe featuring designs from the likes of J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and Donna Karen.
In particular, we feel the more casual and relaxed shots from this series work well, such as where Michelle is reading on the sofa or frolicking in a field. We also really like the collection of four portraits together, with Michelle posing simply in front of the camera, as these looks very glamourous, and you can see Michelle has really spent some time thinking of exactly how she wants to hold herself as Marilyn.
