Richard Chai Love Spring 2012 Collection was one to talk about. For the amazing in your face, yet sedated, beauty. Slamming color in your face, James Kaliardos for MAC Cosmetics, created a “Japanese Harajuku girl meets Venice Beach girl” look to balance the “explosion of color and texture” of the collection. And let me tell you, it worked.
Walking down the runways, these girls offset one another perfectly. Models either had a strong and colorful lip or eye. The eyes had serious hues using bright colors of pink – MAC Pro Genuine Magenta Chroma- and orange- MAC Pro Genuine Orange Chromaline – on the lids – starting as far in on the eye as possible and brushing straight out on the lid. And, the lips were even more intense using a beyond bold blue (think Avatar blue or Mystique from X-Man) -MAC Pro Chromographic Pencil in Hi-Def Cyan- or a deep purple- MAC Pro Amplified Lipstick in Violetta.
James kept the skin beautiful, clean and natural saying “the color really brightens up not only your face, but the whole atmosphere”. Well, it certainly brightened my day James, thank you.
