T.I. just can’t seem to stay in one place for too long. The restless rapper has been released from prison again after he was taken from his halfway house earlier this month and placed back into federal custody. He went back to prison for reportedly making business deals with VH1 officials en route to Atlanta, where he was scheduled to remain for the duration of his sentence. Now, after a lot of negotiations between prison officials and lawyers I wish I had on my speed dial, T.I. has been released back into a halfway house.
His lawyer released a statement to TMZ, stating “We have god reason to believe that his favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.’s rights by providing B.O.P. officials and the media with reliable and accurate information and that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P. rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta.” All that jargon translates into one simple sentence: T.I. will officially be free to live his life however he wishes on September 29th, although he will remain on probation for one year.
