Two years after the King of Pop passed away, the second posthumous album dedicated to Michael Jackson is slated to release on November 21st. Arguably the greatest pop artist of all time, the album is fittingly named ‘Immortal,’ a testament to Jackson’s influence that will never fade nor falter. The album will not only feature unreleased material from the pop-prince as his first after-death album did, but will also be compiled of mash-ups from various artists, as well as re-produced and tweaked original Michael songs.
‘Immortal’ will as well serve as the soundtrack for the Cirque du Soleil show of the same title, which kicked off its world tour on Sunday in Montreal. In a review from Variety.com, Richard Ouzounian writes that the show is “Part rock concert, part aerial fantasy, part multimedia extravaganza and part surreal performance art, the show, written and directed by Jamie King, manages to capture the essence of Jackson better than seems possible.” The show will hit sixty North American cities before ending in Chicago, after which it will become a house act at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Look out for the release, and mark your calendar for a Cirque show in your area soon.
