Thanks to news leaking last night that H&M has chosen Consuelo Castiglioni, Creative Director of Marni, to design their next capsule collection, we can now all look back and laugh at all the hubbub that was created over the Tom Ford speculations.
Artist Margot Bowman seems to be ahead of the game. In a recent Tom Ford for H&M parody produced for Another Magazine, Bowman channels Gucci’s iconic 2002 advertisement to poke fun at our borderline obsession with Tom Ford’s legacy.
The original was shot Mario Testino when Tom Ford was creative director of the house, and featured model Louise Pedersen sporting an equally provocative, though one hundred-times more luxe, bikini wax.
Looks like we’ll have to wait for Ford to hop on the bandwagon, but for now the jokes on us.
