Gisele Bündchen The New Face of Givenchy?

Was that Gisele Bündchen spotted on a beach in Jamaica shooting Givenchy’s spring 2012 campaign?  Many fashion insiders seem to think so, but the House has yet to comment.

Ever since Bündchen closed Givenchy’s critically acclaimed Spring 2012 show, inspired by the seductiveness and iridescence of mermaids, rumors have been bouncing around that Mariacarla Boscono’s campaign reign at the house was coming to a close.

Boscono has been a fixture in Givenchy’s campaigns since 2007, and if this rumor proves to be true it will be the first major campaign overhaul since news leaked earlier this month that Chanel was replacing longtime muse Freja Beha Erichsen with Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls in spring 2012.

Talks of changes at Givenchy have been all hearsay for a few weeks now—mostly assumptions made from tweets by Noah Mills (an apparent co-star in the campaign) , Forbes’ Anderson Antunes, and hairstylist Luigi Murenu. But since photos started hitting the blogosphere of Bündchen onsite in what was clearly Givenchy’s pastel pink suit and shark’s tooth necklace, these claims and suspicions could be more valid than we originally thought.

If Bündchen’s work at Balenciaga last year is any indication of what we can expect from the industry veteran, Givenchy fans better buckle up tight.
