Russian supermodel Sasha Pivovarova has just released a line of lingerie and lounge wear in collaboration with GAP Body. The capsule collection features six looks—most designs hand drawn by Pivovarova herself—including underwear sets, camisoles, nightdresses, and “girlshorts.”
The gag-factor is in the price point. With a pair of premium satin “girlshorts” starting at a just $19.95 this is one of the few collaborations out there that won’t break the bank.
Sasha’s art off the runway is mostly made up of whimisical fairytale-inspired self-portraits, usually in pastels, and sometimes drawn on raw surfaces giving it a more cutesy Lautrecian feel.
“I’ve always wanted to do something with clothes, “ said Sasha. “The creative process gives me the most freedom because I can do anything I want on a piece of blank media.”
With three pieces already live on Gap.com and many more to come moving into the New Year, this is one collaboration that just makes sense.
