Were those bows instead of studs on Christopher Bailey’s trench coats? Nope, you’re not dreaming. For the Pre-Fall collection, Burberry Prorsum is in search of something softer and slightly more romantic. It works surprisingly well, don’t you think? Especially coming from a house whose creative director is known to favor The Sex Pistols over sonnets.
Pre-fall 2012 for Burberry Prorsum was almost too cute for words, but Bailey kept things interesting, creating a nice juxtaposition between the cutesy Tootsie pop owl-screened pullovers and the course militaristic tailoring that’s become the house’s trademark.
From the color palette to the incredible over-sized accessories with luxe color blocking and snakeskin patchwork details, this collection still had some bite, almost deceptively sweet but undeniably tasty nonetheless.
