Coco Rocha is the face of Dennis Basso’s new campaign.
Designer Basso was thrilled to secure the steam train backdrop for his campaign and explained he decided Rocha was the right person to front it after being impressed with her clothing choice at the recent Met Gala.
“What I loved about her was while practically everyone else was wearing borrowed dresses she was wearing an outfit she had bought at the Elizabeth Taylor auction at Christie’s. I thought, ‘That’s a great thing,’” he told WWD.
The pair apparently got along famously at the event, so three weeks later shot the new images. Basso even spoke to the publication from the set, laughing it was “a million degrees” there.
The images will first hit the pages of Harrods magazine in England, before they cross the pond into US publications.
