Heidi Klum doesn’t mind if her hair looks messy because she thinks perfect hair is “over”.
Heidi Klum says there were a lot of dresses she didn’t like at the Met Gala.
The annual fashion ball took place in New York City on Monday. Heidi wore a mauve lace Escada gown to the event but thinks some of the other guests should have rethought their choices.
“There were a lot of interesting outfits there, right? But I loved Renée Zellweger, she looked very sophisticated. I also liked Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Stone, they both looked cute,” the model said. “But there were a lot I didn’t like. And I actually embrace people who push the envelope, but some of those looks didn’t match their personalities. It’s like, all of a sudden because it’s a fashion ball, they dress completely different.”
Heidi takes care to pull her whole outfit together with the careful use of accessories and shoes. Hair is also important – if a dress is sweet and whimsical she usually opts for a harder style to toughen it up.
That doesn’t mean the star always looks glamorous though. Her tresses won’t always do what she wants but she has come up with some ways to tame them.
“Everybody has bad hair days. If it’s really bad, I usually throw my hair into a bun or I wear a hat. But sometimes, I just don’t care because the days of having your hair perfect are over,” she told Stylelist.com.
“Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I don’t even brush my hair. My trick is to wash my hair at night and fall asleep with my hair wet. Then I roll around in the pillow and I wake up and my hair looks perfectly messy.”
