Karl Lagerfeld is offering to transform someone into a movie star as a charity prize.
The Chanel designer has teamed up with film boss Harvey Weinstein to create the opportunity for amfAR’s renowned Cinema Against AIDS gala.
The highest bidder will star in a film directed by Karl and produced by Harvey.
“The prize will be offered during the auction at the black-tie benefit at Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France, on Thursday,” reports New York Post.
The event is being held as part of the on-going Cannes Film Festival.
A host of big names are helping chair the charity bash, among them Karl, Harvey, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Milla Jovovich and Alec Baldwin.
Former editor of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld is known to be putting together a special runway show for the event. It will feature a line of little black dresses designed by the likes of Alexander Wang, Fendi, Givenchy, Versace and Louis Vuitton.
It’s thought big name models will be showing off the pieces, with Naomi Campbell thought to be one of those who will strut her stuff.
Gala attendees will be able to buy the outfits.
The event is annual, with last year’s raising $9 million to help HIV and AIDS research and education.
