Reed Krakoff has always harbored creative ambitions, so he would have still had an artistic job if his fashion career as a designer hadn’t taken off. He had several ideas about other work possibilities when he was younger.
“If I weren’t doing what I’m doing today… I’d be a photographer or landscape architect,” he told Blue Carreon on huffingtonpost.com.
Reed’s parents weren’t entirely supportive of his design career. When he announced he wanted to be in fashion, his mother couldn’t understand why he harbored designer plans.
He’s gone on to have his own line and also manages the luxury leather bags company Coach.
The star thinks people have a lot of misconceptions about style, not least that fashion has to be an effort.
“A well-dressed man isn’t noticed for what he is wearing,” he stated.
“Women should always feel strong and confident and above all, feel like themselves and men should never try too hard.”
