The Nepalese designer launched the first offering under his own name in 2009 and his career has gone from strength to strength since.
The fashion creative has received a number of prestigious awards for his work but is showing no signs of resting on his laurels.
“There are definite plans to expand the line. This season alone, we had more accessories down the runway than ever before. This really is just the beginning,” he told InStyle magazine.
Prabal also revealed the iconic designer who has inspired him throughout his career.
While he insisted that he has a variety of favorite fashion creators, there is one who stands out and has had a lasting effect on his work.
“There are a lot of designers I look up to and admire, but I would have to say that Yves Saint Laurent has definitely had a profound impact on my work,” he said.
Prabal went on to name the famous person he would most like to see in his creations.
Having dressed America’s First Lady Michelle Obama, he now has his sights set on royalty in the form of Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge.
“It’s always an enormous moment when we dress Michelle Obama. There are so many women I would love to dress, including your own Kate Middleton,” he said.
