Allegra Hicks spotted “a gap in the market”
The Italian designer is expanding her label after striking up a deal with Ghost owner Touker Suleyman.
Titled Allegra By Allegra, the diffusion line will boast quality designs including dresses, tops and jumpsuits featuring her trademark tear drop and winter garden prints.
“I saw a gap in the market for my designs in a full-fashion collection in beautiful quality fabrics at a much more accessible prince point,” Hicks told Vogue.co.uk.
The London-based designer sees the new line as an expansion of her brand and that she won’t compromise on the quality of the garments.
The collection will be available from September and sold through John Lewis and website AllegraByAllegra.com.
“I feel that this collection is a complement to my mainline collection, which also includes my interiors, as it is a full ready-to-wear collection that we would all love to wear,” added Hicks. “I really believe that luxury is not about the price, but about beautiful designs and great manufacturing.”
