The designer will launch the collection for Spring/Summer 13 called DVF loves ROXY. The collaboration between the high end fashion favorite and the surf and snow lifestyle brand will be made up of 35 pieces which will all be limited-edition.
Diane has taken surf culture as inspiration for the items which she has worked onto Roxy’s signature silhouettes. The bold prints associated with Diane’s fashion creations will also be seen on the range that includes beach accessories such as cover-ups and bags, as well as swimwear items.
“I am so excited to work with Roxy,” Diane told WWD. “The collection is playful and fun… we wanted to empower women to go for it and ride the wave.”
As well as being an enjoyable partnership for the two globally recognized labels, it will also be a lucrative one. The Roxy brand is owned by Quicksilver Inc., with annual revenues in excess of $2 billion.
The limited-edition designer swimwear will be sold by both Roxy and DVF stores around the world, as well as being stocked online at roxy.com and showcased in 250 special surf outlets in America.
