Music and fashion are the peanut butter and jelly of the fashion world, and Michael Kors launched a new collaboration on Monday with Alexandra Richards melding just those two things. The collaboration features #CelebrateWith Alexandra Richards, a playlist created just for the brand’s lifestyle site, as well as an interview and a self-styled shoot featuring Kors’ new sneakers.
Richards, a DJ and model, knows a thing or two about fashion and music so the pairing seems like a natural fit. The 25-song playlist features holiday music as well as indie songs, mixing classics like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” by the Jackson 5 with “Tongue Tied” by Grouplove and “Lost” by Frank Ocean.
The second installment of Kors Collaboration switches directions from the premier edition, which featured a digital photography book created by Claiborne Swanson Frank and highlighted shopable looks. The Kors Collaboration seeks to showcase the special relationships the designer has with people in a range of fields and industries.
