
Five years ago Metallica released the album “St. Anger” and have produced their rebound album, “Death Magnetic,” for a September 12th release this year . “The Day That Never Comes” was their first single to be released on the radio and for download on Thursday August 21st, 2008. This song was also played live at the
Leeds Festival in England and a music video has already been made in Los Angeles California
Metallica have also released two other songs, “My Apocalypse” and “Cyanide,” all of which can be purchased on iTunes. Their latest bassist, Robert Trujillo, who joined during the “St. Anger” era in 2003, has never recorded for a Metallica studio album till now. They have a new producer on board, Rick Rubin, who has produced for the likes of System of a Down, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Weezer. For all you gamers out there who love Guitar Hero, “Death Magnetic” will also be released for download on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero World Tour.
