A New York judge ordered the LimeWire shutdown today, citing that LimeWire “intentionally encouraged direct infringement” and “marketed itself to…known copyright infringers.”

One of the hottest new movies is Hereafter, starring Matt Damon and directed by Clint Eastwood. Although T.I. is set to release King Uncaged, an album titled to reference his freedom from jail, the rapper will likely be back in jail upon its release. T.I. was sentenced to 11 months for a probation violation in September, during which he was arrested on suspicion of possessing ecstasy.
Leif Garrett, known as a teen idol during the 1970s, pleaded no contest to heroin charges in Los Angeles today. The actor and singer was caught with heroin in a Los Angeles subway station in February.

At 9:40 am today, the Brooklyn Bridge was shut down due to a package that was suspected to have been a bomb.
