Behind the scene preview of Rick Genest and Matt Plunkett

These exclusive behind the scene photographs were taken in downtown Los Angeles with Rick Genest AKA “Zombie Boy” and Matt Plunkett. Rico has collaborated with the Giantto team to work on their new campaign titled Time Waits For No One. 

These behind the scenes photographs are incredibly striking and they all work together perfectly to tell the story behind the photo-shoot. The combination of the black and white and color photography, along with the combination of indoor and outdoor images.

We cannot wait to see the final outcome from this shoot, which we can tell from these behind the scenes photographs is going to be seriously good. Stay tuned for the final images.

Taylor Warren by Andrew Kuykendall

This elegant, girly and intimate series of portraits was shot by innovative and super-creative photographer Andrew Kuykendall. This exclusive preview of the photographs stars Taylor Warren from Fusion, who is styled by Shanna Nicole and Elissa Aimee in a huge range of iconic labels including Chanel, Phillip Lim, Christian Louboutin, Alexander Wang, Dolce and Gabbana and Alexander McQueen.

Andrew describes Taylor herself as the inspiration of the shoot, stating that he was “inspired to make a fashion story that would be conducive with her energy and look”. The intimate and soft environment works wonderfully with Taylor’s natural style, and we feel the whole shoot works perfectly in this way.

These photographs are put together as a two-page layout, therefore the order in which they are displayed is obviously vital to the overall creative success and overall impact of the collection. We feel that there is something almost cinematic about the way these photographs co-ordinate together, and this is something that is important to the photographer.

“I hope [I create] something that’s both young and timeless, nostalgic and modern. I have a deep appreciation for the use of colour and cinema and hope that is apparent.”

This fashion shoot has the perfect balance of romance, edgy styling and seductive soft make-up. In particular we love the Betsey Johnson black dress. We feel that the creative direction of the shoot works well with the almost scrap-book style composition, and the framing of the photographs. Speaking about the concept of a narrative, Andrew Kuykendall states that “narrative is a fun devise but beauty can be enough on its own as well”. We feel this sums up the shoot perfectly. Whilst there is a hint of narrative and story behind the images, the beauty of the model, the styling and the creativity behind the shots means that they do not need a story behind them to make them stand out.
