Eyes were focused and girlishly intense on the Miu Miu runway; a sense of a “girl about town” sauntered provocatively in dark denims and tie-dyed furs with an ease only Miuccia Prada can create.
It was an eventful year for the fashion world. What didn’t happen? There was the John Galliano scandal and all the succession speculation that ensued, Creative Directors were thrown around from house to house like rag dolls, Marc Jacobs’ Spring collection was stolen in London en route from Paris, the Alexander McQueen exhibit broke records at the Met, Sarah Burton designed Catherine Middleton’s wedding dress, Lady Gaga – the list goes on and on.
It’s quite disturbing that one of the countries that I love the most, that supports & breathes fashion perhaps more than the city we reside in (New York City) are banning one of Hailee Steinfeld’s Miu Miu ads.
She designed it in two weeks. Actually, 13 days. From the close of her Prada show in Milan straight on through the entire course of Paris Fashion Week, Miuccia Prada designed, sealed and delivered the entire collection of her little sister brand Miu Miu.
