Leif Garrett Pleads No Contest to Heroin Possession Charge in LA

Leif Garrett, known as a teen idol during the 1970s, pleaded no contest to heroin charges in Los Angeles today. The actor and singer was caught with heroin in a Los Angeles subway station in February.
Leif Garrett, born Leif Per Nervik, is 48, and has received much publicity for his drug problems in recent years. There were early signs of trouble for Leif Garrett, as he crashed his car while drunk just three days before his 18th birthday.
