Arnold Schwarzenegger could be returning to Terminator
Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly being lined up for a ‘Terminator’ return.
The ‘Predator’ actor could be set to star in the fifth movie of the franchise – which last produced 2009’s ‘Terminator Salvation’, starring Sam Worthington and Christian Bale – after it was reported Agency CAA are looking for a studio to purchase the movie’s rights, according to Deadline.com.
Arnold’s catchphrase in the franchise sees him announce “I’ll be back”, and it looks as though he wasn’t joking.
He played the part of T-800 Terminator in three of the movies – ‘Terminator’ in 1984, ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’ in 1991 and ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003 – but a buyer still needs to be found before the latest movie can be made, and he can hopefully say those famous words again.
Production company Halcyon bought the rights to the franchise in 2007 and planned to follow-up ‘Terminator Salvation’ with many more ‘Terminator’ films, but the company ran out of money.
Let’s hope the rights are purchased soon so the 63-year-old former California governor can get back to what he does best.
