The actor-and-comedian – who is set to star in movie ‘Horrible Bosses’ alongside Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman and Jamie Foxx this year – could be set to inject some serious comedy into the ceremony if his regular performances on ‘Saturday Night Live’ after anything to go by.

He has played a satirical version of vice-president Joe Biden on the show and has been known to do celebrity impressions of actor Mel Gibson and American footballer Eli Manning.

Jason told ‘MTV News’: “I’m sincerely flattered that the folks from the Mostly Teenage Viewers network have invited me to host this year, and I look forward to keeping the streak of flawless and critically lauded movie awards show hosting in 2011 alive.”

This year is a special one for the awards, which celebrates its 20th anniversary when it airs on June 5.
