Terje Sorgjerd Captures The Milky Way in Motion on the top of El Teide

Here’s why I love using StumbleUpon – you never know what you’re going to find, well, you know the genre, but the wonders that you find behind that are absolutely incredible.

I love the galaxy, I love our world, and coming from a small town in the Middle East I used to love starring at the sky and see all the stars. Today, I live in New York and sadly there is not much stars from my windows, just tall buildings, with lots of windows, perhaps an office light is the only light I will see in the sky, or a passing plane.

I came across this amazing video shot by Terje Sorgjerd, it’s titled “The Mountain”.

It was filmed this month, on the 4th and 11th of April 2011 while Terje visited El Teide, Spain’s highest mountain, it’s considered one of the world’s best observatories to photograph the stars. Without saying too much.. This is our world, this is where we live.. It’s beautiful and we must respect it.
