Lara Stone by Alasdair McLellan for Self Service

by Daniel Haim

Lara Stone is back on the scene and looking more seductive than ever. Without mentioning our obsession for the Dutch bombshell, we’ll give a quick rundown of the shoot.

The series of black and white and color photographs taken by Alasdair McLellan has a very retro 60s feel to it. Lara Stone is reminiscent of an early Bardot with pieces by Valentino, LV and YSL all adding to the throwback feel of the shoot. It’s a testament to Stone’s ability as a model to fit in perfectly into any decade or setting you place her in. The clothes are phenomenal and the lighting and set are the finishing touches on this visually delightful editorial.

You can find this editorial in the new issue of Self Service, styled by Jane How. Lara can be seen in pieces from Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent.
