Girl of the moment – Rosie Huntington-Whitely
by Alice Byrne
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is literally everywhere at the moment. Having graced the covers of Maxim, GQ and ELLE UK within the last month, and featured it countless other publications, it is not hard to see why she is Hollywood’s biggest rising star. Of course, the reason behind all this fuss, is that Rosie has stepped into Megan Foxes shoes as the female lead in the much anticipated new Transformers film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Upon hearing the news of Megan Foxes replacement, I am sure many Transformers fans, like myself, thought it would be impossible to find someone as well suited to the role as Megan Fox, however so far, Rosie seems to be doing a fantastic job.
In this cover and editorial spread for Maxim, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is shot by Russell James, who has done countless campaigns for Victoria Secret, and therefore worked with Rosie countless times before during her time as a Victoria Secret Angel. This editorial is titled The Lips That Saved the World, and was shot for the July issue of Maxim.
Aside from staring in her first feature-length film, Rosie also appears on the cover of Maxim to promote her Maxim 100 number 1 status. Unsurprisingly, the editorial itself is completely stunning. It is one of my favorite shoots of Rosie that I have seen. The styling by Linda Rodin is fantastic, and although she is prancing around in lingerie in every shot, there is nothing sleazy about it. She looks very very sexy, her lips are literally the hottest things ever (She says they change colour with her mood – how cute!), and it is very clear that she just totally knows how to work it in front of the camera.
