Erin Wasson Rocking Out for Elle France
by Alice Byrne
Erin Wasson takes low-key, effortless style to a new level of cool in this recent cover shoot for Elle France. Fred Meylan captures these amazing photographs, and Erin is styled beautifully by Anne-Marie Broulliet.
Erin is totally rocking contemporary and on-trend pieces, whilst giving each shot a seventies glam feel. I really love this kind of editorial. Rock and roll, casual shoots are my favorite, mostly because the clothes are always so amazing, and because the models are always look so effortlessly cool and interesting. The location for this editorial is fabulous, I love all the little surf shack and all the little candles, as well as the sneaky little look at Erin’s super-hot tattoo.
Erin really does look awesome in this shoot. It is actually totally believable that this is the kind of life she could lead. The photography is beautiful, with the gleams of sunlight hitting Erin’s face and the framing of the house in the first image. The black and white images are really cool, but I think it was a good decision to have a mix of them both, as I think the color is really appropriate in the summery setting, and it adds to the carefree atmosphere portrayed wonderfully by Erin.
