Aymeline Valade Hits the Streets of New York City

by Alice Byrne

For the latest issue of Russh magazine, Aymeline Valade hits the streets of New York City for this cover shoot and editorial spread, shot by photographer Will Davidson. This issue of Russh is fashion editor Stevie Dance’s last, and I would think it is fair to say that he has done a fantastic job on his last shoots. This fashion story is lighthearted, jovial and jazzy with gorgeous fashion selects from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander Wang, Burberry Prorsum and Michael Kors.

Aymeline has been in so many fantastic editorials recently. Her bright personality and energetic modeling styling seems to be taking over in a big way. There is a mix of black and white and gorgeous washed-out colors in these photographs, and the light really works wonderfully with the whole lighthearted aesthetic.

I love all the little styling touches in these images, the lace bunny ears by Maison Michel are very cute, and I love the inclusion of the white hat, which I think gives the whole thing quite a old-school, jazzy feel. My favorite image is where Aymeline almost looks as if she is talking to you through the camera, wearing a big white hat. I love these images, that show a bit of personality. A lot of the images are stunning though, particularly in black and white.
