Documentary: Jacquelyn Jablonski Snow New York

by Alice Byrne

To create an editorial for, Kevin Tachman accompanied Jacquelyn Jablonski around town on the first day of New York Fashion Week earlier this year. During this time she had fittings at Willow & Yigal Azrouel and a casting at Zac Posen. In this series of black and white images, titled Snow Day, Jablonski shows a lot of personality and natural beauty, as she poses alongside subway signs and in the back of taxis.

This is a perfect intimate series of portraits, there is a great sense of journey, as there is a real change in posing and style from the candid street shots and the poses during the fashion week fittings, which indicate just how seriously Jacquelyn takes her work. The snow in the images also looks gorgeous, the way it is caught in Jacquelyn’s hair as she waits for the subway is too cute.
