Vogue Spain Presents Pauline Van der Cruysse
by Alice Byrne
For the July issue of Vogue Spain, Pauline Van der Cruysse looks like a gorgeous, wistful, lost bride as she strolls across the shores of Tulum, Mexico. This captivating, sad, yet super-romantic shoot is shot by photographer Paola Kudacki. Pauline is styled by Barbara Martelo’s soft, pale and delicate wardrobe choices, including designs from the likes of Dolce & Gabanna, Nina Ricci and Lanvin.
Pauline’s bronzed skin looks gorgeous against the paleness of the gowns and the soft blue of the sea and vast horizon behind her. We also really like the black and white images, which appear much more dark, intense, and almost slightly sinister compared to the soft colors and lighting from the other photographs. We also like how hair and make-up styling has been kept to a minimum to allow Pauline’s natural beauty to speak for itself in this stunning location. The styling here is subtle, hair by Rutger Van Heide and make-up by Tyron Machhausen.
